Students completing high school in non-traditional settings — including students who will have completed at least two years in a home-schooled environment or in online classes or programs by the time they graduate — are encouraged to apply to the University of Miami. Because records from nontraditional environments vary, in addition to the standard first-year or transfer admission requirements, the Office of Undergraduate Admission may require additional documentation to further demonstrate students’ potential to thrive in a rigorous postsecondary school environment and show the capacity to contribute to a dynamic campus community.
