Statistics is crucial in making decisions and making predictions based on data. Some of the topics covered in this class include exploring data with graphs and numerical summaries, association between variables, correlation, least squares regression, prediction, the normal approximation for data, sampling distributions, statistical inference: confidence intervals and tests of hypotheses.
