You do not have to be a student of the College of Arts and Sciences for the minor in French; you need only the approval of your college or school advisor and to complete the departmental requirements.
Students with transfer credit hours must take at least 6 graded credit hours at the 300- and 400-level at the University of Miami. Credits must be taken through the University of Miami. 3 credit hours of the minor (one course) may be earned through transfer equivalency.
French minors must take FRE 301 before taking any other courses at the 300- or 400-level because this is the pre-requisite for all other 300- and 400-level courses.
